as Best Picture , the film has fueled interesting conversations on social media, along with some silly arguments. ’s message isn’t particularly subtle; the meaning is right there in the title, yet some seem to be misinterpreting the story as a condemnation of the working class, rather than an anti-capitalist narrative that depicts the wealthy as parasitic, and the working class as, quite literally, struggling to keep their heads above water.
"Because the story is about the poor family infiltrating and creeping into the rich house, it seems very obvious thatrefers to the poor family, and I think that's why the marketing team was a little hesitant. But if you look at it the other way, you can say that rich family, they're also parasites in terms of labor. They can't even wash dishes, they can't drive themselves, so they leech off the poor family's labor. So both are parasites.
Ki-jeong might have been lying about her art therapy, but the child she was tutoring didn’t even need therapy; he was just some entitled kid playing up his quirky personality, likely destined for a career in the art world, regardless, cushioned by the wealth and influence of his parents.
Is about psycopaths....
Parasite is basically the plotline of UsMovie set in South Korea
Eating taxpayer money. Inefficient policians, public officers, and Akishino-no-miya family are taxpayer money eaters.
Parasite is about many things. And there's more to it than 'aboutness.' But by all means, reduce it to its declarative content and promote your favorite version of that. 🙄 Cf T. S. Eliot on Henry James, 'He had a mind so fine that no idea could violate it.' How's your mind?
I am sure there are many ways to interpret the movie but from my skeptical point of view it portrayed not the difference but similarities between the classes. Sadly enough humanity isn't the brightest and it doesn't discriminate, unless it's the smell. That shit is a harsh truth.
It's about the self claimed elite Academy trying to educate normal American people what is a 'best picture'.
I kinda reject the idea that the son will never be able to afford the house. Maybe I’m just an optimist, but the whole movie established the idea that skill and intelligence aren’t limited to social class. I think him getting the house is the story after the story.
Minsara Kanna.
Class differences. The same challenges but different results for poor people and rich people like raining, it brings calmness for the rich family and at the same time destroy the poor's home
... everyone knows who’s parasite... don’t analyze...
eating the people who write for forbes magazine
Very nice movie.. a poor family of 4 who exceeded all limits to extort money from a wealthy family by working in their house. Very sad at the turnout of events at the end though.. the killings
Poor people outwitting the rich thanks to YouTube and Google providing all the knowledge you need to do any job. Who needs college?
Don't know, don't care... If they give it an award it's to be avoided at all costs.
