In the beginning, there was … well, maybe there was no beginning. 😳

In the beginning, there was … well, maybe there was no beginning. Perhaps our universe has always existed — and a new theory of quantum gravity reveals how that could work.

Bento and his collaborators used this causal-set approach to explore the beginning of the universe. They found that it's possible that the universe had no beginning — that it has always existed into the infinite past and only recently evolved into what we call the Big Bang.A quantum of gravityQuantum gravity is perhaps the most frustrating problem facing modern physics. We have two extraordinarily effective theories of the universe: quantum physics and general relativity.

This theory of physics excited Bento."I was thrilled to find this theory, which not only tries to go as fundamental as possible — being an approach to quantum gravity and actually rethinking the notion of space-time itself — but which also gives a central role to time and what it physically means for time to pass, how physical your past really is and whether the future exists already or not," Bento told Live Science.

Interesting

Then we wasted a lot of time

I don't believe in a beginning to the Universe. That would imply something from nothing. However, things get complicated because the Universe continuously evolves.

Impossible, because only The Creator God Almighty Alone Is Eternal.

On a quantum level, everything.

Can someone think at universe evolution without using time? If all biological structures are the result of a computational process why we are so eager to explain our meaningful existence using time constrains.

Starting with the smallest reaction, our universe could have grown from a trillion expansions and crunches into the runaway vastness we have now. Oh now my brain hurts...too early 😁

You tell me

The possibilities would be endless.

It would mean we would still have to chop wood, carry water.

Didn't you hear 'Let there be light' & 'Kun fa ya quun' ? Science is supposed to confirm the Holy Writ not be it. When you take away spirituality, you are without a direction hence immorality and making immoral as moral. Welcome to darkness with eyes wide open.

The Universe and God are one.

Define 'always', because our current explanation for the universe has an objective point where time begins.

Now this is a good question

Ever Existed, No Beginning, No End, Ever expanding, It means: We should now Understand, Were we came from, were we're Going, What's The Meaning & Purpose of our lives. Just be part of it!!! A Ever Morphing Tridimensional shaped Ever expanding Universe. A Soup like 'Blob'!

what? space theories like the big bang? not everyone believes it. stupid big bang. stupid minds. stupid humans. stupid existence. everything had always existed in one form or another. life itself is everything out there.

Inner conscious universe!

Ma infatti è possibile che non riusciamo a vedere le realtà esistenti oltre i 13.8 miliardi di anni luce, perché la luce non è ancora arrivata fino alla terra. È facile che a 14 miliardi di anni luce ci sia altro

It just means that the Big Bang Theory got busted. Which really was what I thought anyway.

It depends on your definition of Universe...

Lol science and it’s “theories”. Lots of “what if's” not a lot of tangible evidence. Just speculation and a lot of questionable peer review. Go peddle your religion elsewhere.

It would mean that we know less about space than we think AND, It will have zero impact on most humans.

A begining and a ending.

That would simply be eternity.

More recycles like the seasons, eternally, but it'd mean intelligence has existed forever, that al technological ambitions have been met, and that if we are a better off with a 'God', then there is probably a God.

That it existed someplace else in another form, the Upside Down where concave wave in ours is convex, and atoms spew out photons.

That blackholes don't exist

I wouldn't discount string theory at all ... Even though general relativity theory cannot be applied in singularities ,it's still applicable in every other part of the universe. Regardless the article was great read

It looses shape / form (weak force collapses) after so much expansion ,to end up in a small tiny ball , and after exploding again in a massive big bang

Are you seriously asking a question you know the answer TWO

that it will always exist

'A Universe without beginning' is not a new idea.

The universe has actually ended. What we see is just the outcome of it.

Big bang, infinite, eternal , multiverse - any of them is a mind fk !!

i just asking.. if we have spaceship with warp speed.. then our ship can see the first beginning of big bang. the times.. will bended, if we go back there.

Nothing. only the books will change. Life as we know will go on regardless.

Is this the condom reservoir theory?

It would mean that Wilson and Penzias were smoking crack, and only hallucinated their discovery of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation.

it means everything we thought was true about our universe is actually not true, like what we thought was evidence such as the expansion of the universe, means it's actually happening for some other reason

It would mean we need to spread out and get crackin' on immortality innovation!

It means Infinity us accepted in physics. That means 1=0. could you imagine?

In that case, it was empty for a very long time. Well, what does time matter if there is nothing?

The universe as we know it will end, long after the earth & sun have ended. The question is, is ours the only universe? How many universes will space hold? How big is space? Gotta start with the basics.

It always has

That it is not expanding and that we are getting smaller under space pressure

It means we don’t exist ! If the universe has been for too long than a certain number it would be too dark and too cold to let life form.

It would mean the universe will never come to an end.

Oh-My-God=Omniabsolute IEternal-Comos/Universe'sGravity: Albeit, 🇺🇸USA's ultimate & complete consummation & sovereignty with Centrifugal-Force & Centripetal-Force are the essence of SpaceTIme: which travel at the speed of Tachyons16Trilions trillions miles a second. LIFE is

time can never have been frozen in full, its always moving, but the total of causality, thats another story, that is god (= Life).

It would mean that mainstream science is wrong.. Yet again!

It has

Space itself always existed, probably. The universe in its physical form as we know it? Most definitely not.

The possibilities would be endless and many Facts and beliefs would therefore be skewed.

Infinity.

So universe is a big colorful condom Got it..

No beginning, no end, and always evolving.

whether the universe had a beginning or not, and even though 'eternity' seems impossible, some form of eternity has to exist. I believe that eternity is God, as to say a mind, not merely materialism

It is fascinating is it not. You could debate it for years and still not know the answer but somewhere the answer is known. I think the end is the one to think about because in universal timescales its just round the corner and according to our best we are the cause....

realistic to postulate that the universe that has interacted and is interacting with us. has a limit in time and space. further away (time or space), may or may not exist, we cannot see, cannot detect anything at all. What happened or is happening there has no influence on us

God is the creator.
