Westworld Season 4 Trailer: Evan Rachel Wood Returns (As New Character?)

A mysterious new Westworld season 4 trailer teases the surprise return of Evan Rachel Wood in an unknown role. Wood portrayed the futuristic theme park's android Host Dolores Abernathy across the show's first three seasons. Season 4 of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's HBO sci-fi drama was announced in April 2020 and is set to debut in June 2022.

After breaking out of Delos Inc.'s control and out of the confines of the Westworld theme park, Westworld season 3 saw Dolores take her revolution into the outside world in 2053's Los Angeles. After aiming to destroy the Incite company's incredibly powerful predictive A.I. Rehoboam, Dolores succeeded in her mission with the help of Caleb and Maeve , but at the cost of her own life when her memories are erased.

While prior Westworld season 4 teasers displayed other cast members, this new Westworld season 4 trailer is fans' first official look at Wood's return, even though it is unknown whether she is portraying Dolores. While Dolores seemingly had her memories erased in the season 3 finale, she was capable of creating duplicates of her Host body, meaning that Dolores may have left a copy of her subconscious in an additional copy of her body.
