The following guidelines are recommended:Keep cats indoors when possible to prevent them from interacting with other animals or people.Avoid dog parks or public places where a large number of people and dogs gather.It might be tempting to meet up with friends or loved ones in public spaces, but again, you need to keep your distance.

“There seems to be more of a natural tendency for friends to congregate,” Dr. Schaffner says. “The six-foot distance vanishes. They get pretty close to each other for fairly prolonged periods of time.” That spells a higher chance of infection, even ifIf you have kids with you, it’s also best to keep them nearby and off playgrounds, which, if they’re still open, have likely not been sanitized. The same rules still apply to kids, including social distancing and less face touching.
