More than 50 years after Jane Elliot created a bold classroom experiment to teach students about racism, she says there's much more work left to do. 'We are repeating the blue-eyed/brown-eyed exercise on a daily basis.'

Elliott started to see her own white privilege, even her own ignorance. At her lunch break that day in the teacher's lounge, she told her colleagues about the exercise. One teacher ended up displaying the same bigotry Elliott had spent the morning trying to fight.

The interaction only strengthened Elliott's resolve. She decided to continue the exercise with her students after lunch.

“...thought it was about time somebody shot that son of a bitch...” Why did the teacher say this? Elliot seemingly didn’t ask but assumes much, of course. MLK was a known philanderer - perhaps that’s the reason for the comment?

“The May 25 killing of George Floyd set off weeks of ... protests over the police abuse and racism against black people, plunging the U.S. into a reckoning of racial inequality.” There was MUCH more to these “protests” than George Floyd (riots, actually). And NPR knows it.

Star Trek January 1969

50 years ago it was needed, back when there actually was institutional racism.

Lmao This woman is the best example of white guilt.

Some of the comments are a good illustration of how little it takes to get under a bigot's skin.

'People of other color groups seem to understand,' she said . . . . '[White people] on the other hand, don't have to understand them. We have to let people find out how it feels to be on the receiving end of that which we dish out so readily.'

My absolute FAVORITE experiment

The film of the experiment is captivating . . .

Race relations were good, moving forward until we got the race baiter, divider Obama

She must be very worried. Will there be enough deranged white ladies to carry on her work of abusing kids?

I'm convinced the journalists must be bots. No human could write such vitriolic deceit as this for long before requiring the kinds of narcotics just to go on that would prohibit motor function.

Full Marxism Now!!!

advocaatsmeets It's Elliott with double T, and whatever you do, don't ask her what she thinks about transgender people.

The greatest challenges facing the onset of racism is special interest groups, lobbyists with political and economic agenda that influence policy making legislation and regulations. Society is dealing with the consequences.

The 'bold classroom experiment' was manipulative child abuse, and she'd lose her teaching license if she'd pull that today.

You keep trotting this tired old nonsense out, no one even listens or pays attention.

The experiment wasn't about 'racism,' but tribalism of sorts married to the affects of the teacher's authority. Like, for example, how the author's 'tribe' or team largely blesses violence against people for their poliitcal opinions.

The Kremlin learned from her experiment

It probably didn't work 50 years ago, repeating will do what?

Of course there is, that’s how she makes money spewing nonsense

For the most part, man is permanently flawed with hatred. There is no fixing that. Ever.

Anti-Racist is a codeword for Anti-White.

I hope this present movement will give us many more people just like Jane Eliot.

About 'other'.

She’s a crack pot
