Watermark Legacy residents celebrate Pride Month with Rochester drag stars

Mrs. Kasha Davis , impersonating Tina Turner, performing for the seniors during their Pride Month celebration, June 28, 2024. Rochester , N.Y. - Pride Month may be coming to a close, but the celebrations are far from over at the Watermark Legacy at Clover Blossom.

To wrap up a month of Pride themed events, the residents were treated with a drag show with two of Rochester's drag superstars, Mrs. Kasha Davis and Aggy Dune. "This generation isn't as aware about the LGBT community, you know, as younger people are," said Bleier. "They want to learn more about their grandkids, they want to know more about what their going through."

Bleier also spoke about how teaching the residents about the meaning of Pride and inclusion can make them feel included as well.
