WATCH LIVE: Gilbert Goons classified as 'gang,' but no additional charges have been submitted

GILBERT, AZ — The Gilbert Goons fit the description of a"hybrid gang," police announced Thursday afternoon.

Gilbert police also announced a second hybrid gang connected to the Goons, called the"Jack Boy Mafia."WATCH THE UPDATE LIVE IN THE PLAYER BELOW: After Lord's death, several other incidents came to light in the East Valley involving separate teen violence occurrences.After the deadly attack on Lord, ABC15 had pressed Gilbert police about an alleged group of people that was referenced as the “Gilbert Goons” on social media.

In January, Gilbert police announced a multi-agency investigation into teen violence incidents, including the East Valley Fusion Center.
