One of the Clydesdales collapsed at the San Antonio Rodeo after becoming tangled with the other horses over the weekend. The Budweiser Clydesdales are always a well-rehearsed attraction at any event they attend. Rarely do you see the one-ton horses that pull the signature Budweiser red wagon in a predicament.
A YouTube video of the incident has been viewed more than 3.4 million times since it was posted on Saturday. The video shows the lead pair of horses doubling back on the group after encountering the arena wall, causing one of the middle horses to collapse.During the video, the horse was seen on the ground for about 10 minutes as rodeo announcer Wayne Brooks attempted to quiet and calm the crowd.
"I'm sure everything is going to be fine," Brooks could be heard saying in the video."I have full faith that horse is fine."Andrew Lacrosse, the shotgun driver of the wagon, immediately jumped into action, calming the other seven horses down and then getting the fallen animal isolated. The crew of people who travel with the Clydesdales arrive to help remedy the situation over the course of the video.
