Washington gas price drops 14 cents a gallon in a week

Another factor contributing to the falling price of gas is that demand has fallen nationally, according to the Energy Information Administration.

The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.88, 20 cents higher than a month ago and 56 cents more than a year ago. However, the average for a gallon of regular gas in Washington is $5.22, a full $1.34 higher than the national average. According to AAA, Washington has seen the sixth-largest decrease in price over the last week, with a difference of 14 cents. California has seen a drop of 28 cents - twice that of Washington - in the last week.

A whole .14 cent drop in a week, big deal. They have risen numerous times .30 to .50 cents a gallon over night.

Seriously, this is just bad information. 2 weeks ago, I filled up at $5.09 or under, this week, $5.29. Nearly $70 for 3/4 of a tank.

BS! They have gone up almost a DOLLAR in 2 weeks! It dropped back down to 4.89 and now back to 5.79
