SAN FRANCISCO — Stephen Curry continues to make progress in his recovery from a left shoulder injury and could be back on the court for the Warriors by mid-January.
That’s according to Warriors general manager Bob Myers, who provided an update on the team’s superstar Wednesday during his biweekly appearance onMyers said Curry hasn’t experienced any setbacks in his recovery from a partially dislocated left shoulder that he injured while trying to strip the ball from an opponent last month. He’s scheduled to be re-assessed Saturday, which should paint a better picture on what Curry’s return timeline might be.
The hope, Myers said, is that Curry will be back in time to kickoff the Warriors’ five-game road trip, which begins in San Antonio on Jan. 13.That’s some promising news for the Warriors, who’ve recently been bogged down by injuries. Golden State will have six players shelved Wednesday night for Wednesday’s contest against the Detroit Pistons.
