That’s not only a streak for this particular postseason, it’s a streak that stretches to the brief history of the Chase Center’s entire existence. The streak is also a record. Of the 29 NBA arenas around the country — the horribly-named Crypto.com Arena is still shared between the two Los Angeles franchises — no team has ever had an inaugural playoff home win streak hit nine games. The Utah Jazz held that previous record, which was set during the 1992 postseason. The team won eight straight playoff home games before the streak was snapped on May 28 of that year against the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference Finals.
In the Finals, the Warriors would have an opportunity to extend that streak up to 13 games, since Golden State would have home-court advantage over Boston and Miami — the latter due to the points scored tiebreaker.
