Sen. Warren vowed, via a Medium post, that if elected, she would appoint half of her Cabinet positions to women and nonbinary individuals.

So, looking at the success rates of those who’ve also raised that 50/50 gender breakdown promise, it’s hard to know if Warren, if elected, would succeed. For now, looking into her key might give a clue. The national co-chairs signed onto the campaign—Rep. Deb Haaland, Rep. Katie Porter and Rep. Ayanna Pressley—all female. On the campaign’s political arm, four out of eight roles are filled by women. On the organizing front, seven of the nine leaders are female, including the head of the team.

So, while only time—the primaries, the general election and the electoral college will tell—it would seem that Warren’s track record indicates a commitment to elevating women to positions of power that’s likely to hold steady if she were to be elected President.
