Warrant: Alec Baldwin Was Not Aware Weapon Contained Live Round Before Shooting

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot in the chest. Director Joel Souza, who was standing behind her, was wounded, the records show.

The warrant was obtained Friday so that investigators could document the scene at the ranch where the shooting took place. It notes that Baldwin’s blood-stained costume for the $6 million Western film

Every gun (toy, prop, whatever) should be treated as dangerous weapon. This is a sad story.

Was it a scene they were shooting? Why did he even have to point the gun at them?

How do live rounds make it onto a set? There’s something very weird here. And every set I’ve been on that had blanks are still not ever pointed at anyone. Only dummy “toy” guns get the “gun in face/mouth” treatment. Idk there’s something odd how quick his PR jumped at this.

Someone decided spending in safety was not worth it enough for the budget and got a person killed.

The AD never should have touched that gun. It’s the job of the armorer or prop master and no one else.. Many safety guidelines have been put in place and obviously they weren’t followed.. rule one, no live ammo.. period!

Why would a period weapon on a western film set be loaded with live bullets? Why would live period ammunition be anywhere near the set?

Wtf?

How in the world does this thing have live rounds ? Why

Hollywood constantly uses CGI for unnecessary items, bullets should 100% always be CGI, fake or whatever. This should never happen 😭

Most such on set accidents are because of cutting corners and that seems to be true here too … Baldwin is one of the producers as well. So he is more accountable than a regular actor . The buck stops at him in this case . He’s liable

The AD had no business TOUCHING that gun.

Sorry there’s no oopsies when you shoot and kill someone.

First off WHY THE FUCK DID ANYONE BRING LIVE ROUNDS TO THE SET! There is zero nees for live rounds on a set or blanks for that matter.

Why are there live rounds on a movie set?

Nevertheless as Producer of RustMovie he is responsible for all crew and their actions. Loading a live round into a western replica movie prop gun used by the lead actor in a action sequence is beyond careless rip HalynaHutchins

And he wasn't the only one...

The production shouldn't have hired scab propmaster. Alec shouldn't have allowed that to happen.
