The retailer plans to unveil Walmart+ in July, a $98 per year service that includes same-day delivery, fuel discounts and other perks, according to Recode. Introduction of the service was pushed back from the spring because of the pandemic and it's unclear if it will initially launch nationally.Walmart declined to comment. If Walmart+ enjoys just a fraction of success of Amazon Prime, Walmart should be pleased. Amazon recently said it has 150 million subscribers paying $119 annually.

Read MoreWalmart has already been experimenting with speedy delivery, including one-day options in Phoenix, Las Vegas and parts of California. More than 220,000 items — including pet food, diapers, paper towels and laundry detergent — qualify for the service that launched in May 2019. Customers must spend at least $35 to receive next-day shipping.Grocery options will also reportedly be included in Walmart+ to take on Amazon's ownership of Whole Foods.

Walmart definitely seems to be a love/hate kind of thing... but I see them making inroads- in store banking, veterinary clinic, eye doctor, hair salon, and announced health care facility trial. I see gourmet foods and meats in store. Curbside pickup and you can shop in your pjs!

Anything to get away from Amazon. I have a few more points to spend and then I am shutting it down for good.

It's that already Sam's Club? We don't need another 'membership' spinoff Walmart. You may want to spend a little more time/ money on enforcing the mitigation policies. Shopping at Walmart is like swimming in a free for all Petri dish.

🤔 I’m seriously wondering if we don’t go back to local “hucksters,” milkman & even the butcher. There is a push for more organic, a push for delivery to your door or curb side ~~ local farmers need to get in on this.

Meanwhile, I can't even get a pick up order ready same day. Good luck getting $100 out of me. Walmart

Their website is garbage.

Walmart is like the white trash Amazon

Pass. Haven't been in a Walmart in a few years

Walmart internet game has always been way behind, imagine the business with a better site allowing me to avoid those people

No thanks. I’m good!

I won't be renewing Amazon prime. Their app/website sort/filter options for products sucks by design

Joke. Walmart can’t even do curbside delivery effectively.

I'll Pass.

Amazon sellers in the U.S. will have to list their names and addressesThe new policy could help consumers track down third-party sellers who've sold counterfeit or unsafe goods. I want country of origin to be the first thing in the item description. This should be a legal requirement just like nutrition info on packaged food. Finally. Might make sifting through the fakers a lot easier hope they will not allow PO boxes. lol
