NEW YORK - Stock valuations have climbed to levels reached just before Wall Street’s late 2018 plunge, leaving the market at risk of shocks such as the sell-off this week as global trade tensions mounted.

The forward P/E for the index, which compares stock prices to estimated earnings over the next year, had climbed recently to 17 times, making the index about 13% more expensive than its historic average, according to more than 30 years of data tracked by Refinitiv. Wall Street Put Way Too Much Stock In Peaceful China Trade SettlementUnless China comes out verbally in favor of removing state subsidies from favored industries, among other things, the trade war gets bigger fast. What ever.....our economy doesn’t need China but they need us. We can only beat our selves. Wall Street already “put way too much stock” in Communist China for at least 3 decades now. Enough is enough! Wall street was dragged down by a tiny amount, largely due to chinese stocks that are listed on U.S. exchanges and a few sellout U.S. companies that have been relying on slave labor and/or underming the USA.
