The NYPD has stationed vehicles outside the front entrance of the Massapequa Funeral Home in Massapequa Park where family and friends will gather to pay their respects.The 31-year-old grew up in Franklin Square and was a lover of sports, according to neighbors and former coaches. Wake services will take place today and tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. His funeral is set for Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church. Those who live in the area are being reminded that parts of the community will be closed for Diller’s services. The Massapequa School District will be closed today, and the King Kullen on Merrick Road will be closing early.
Road closures are also planned for the services. Whitewood Drive from Merrick Road to Nassau Street will be closed from noon to 10 p.m. today and Friday.News 12 has also learned that former President Donald Trump will be at the services this afternoon for officer Diller.
