SquareOne Boss Al Munteanu On The Vuelta Deal: "The Idea Is To Have Distributors Who Morph Into Producers"
Vuelta has been in talks this year with Belgian distributor Cinéart but a deal has not been closed to date. It has also been taking meetings in Spain about a potential Spanish partner. Indiana is a partner in Vision Distribution, the distribution outfit created in 2016 with Sky Italia, ITV Studios-backed Cattleya, Fremantle-owned Wildside, Lucisano Media Group and Palomar. It is also known for its advertising production.
Founded in 2005 in Milan by Fabrizio Donvito and Marco Cohen, the duo were joined by Benedetto Habib in 2008, by Karim Bartoletti in 2015 and by Daniel Campos Pavoncelli in 2019. It also has offices in Rome. Vuelta, as we first revealed, launched earlier this year with acquisitions of Playtime in France, Scanbox in Denmark and SquareOne in Germany, is also in talks to acquire companies in Benelux and Spain, and another company in France.
