Emanuele Farneti, who joined the Italian edition of Vogue as editor in chief in January 2017, is stepping down from his role.

ARRIVEDERCI:

“Vogue is entering a new chapter: it is going global. And because the beginning of any new chapter must coincide with the end of the last, I have decided to step down as EIC of Vogue Italia when our September issue is complete,” wrote Farneti. “It has been an honour to continue the tradition of innovation, boundary-breaking and image-making crafted through a uniquely Italian perspective that was established by my great predecessor, Franca.

Hong Kong police arrest former Apple Daily senior editorHong Kong national security police on Wednesday arrested a former editor at the now-defunct Apple Daily pro-democracy newspaper, weeks after it was forced to close after authorities froze its assets. Lam Man-chung, who was the executive editor-in-chief of Apple Daily, was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to collude with foreign forces to endanger national security, according to the South China Morning Post newspaper, which cited an unnamed source. Two other former Apple Daily journalists — associate publisher and deputy chief editor Chan Pui-man and chief editorial writer Fung Wai-kong — were also detained Wednesday after their bail was revoked, according to local media reports. If it weren’t so sad it would be comical the way repressive regimes always label freedom and democratic movements as terrorist and a danger to national security. Totally political persecution. Further provide that HongKong is RulebyLaw under NationalSecurityLaw !!! Today is AppleDaily , Tomorrow will be all HongKongers. The tyranny is shutting all HongKonger mouth. Hope the free world can StandWithHongKong and FreeHongKong In general, the national security of a civilized country cannot be threatened by a journalist, unless it is a tyranny who is afraid of the truth and democracy.
