Stone throwers face different fates across the globeJERUSALEM (AP) — President Donald Trump's assertion that stones thrown by Latin American protesters at American troops should be treated as 'rifles' has sparked debate about the appropriate response to rock-throwing crowds — particularly after Nigerian troops appeared to use his comments as justification for a deadly crackdown on demonstrators over the weekend. From the Gaza Strip to Africa to Europe, security forces have long dealt with stone throwers, albeit in very different ways. Don’t normalise the use of fear to create a divisive political ideology. These aren't 'protestors' they're invaders storming our border, leaving a trail of violence and bloodshed along the way... 'Stones' can kill people, either way, violent acts toward Americans won't and shouldn't be tolerated. Violence + trying to enter US border = shoot them.

If Europe wants to ‘develop’ Africa, it should end exploitation firstThe European Union, in a bid to stop African migration, is launching development projects in African countries. How will that work if Europe’s neo-colonialism is already a driving force behind the migration? I hope you realise what you are describing is similar to a farmer(europe) fattening a cow(africa) for later slaughter. The only meaningful and sustainable development in africa can only come from us africans.

Africa is divided over ivory trade ahead of wildlife meetingJOHANNESBURG (AP) — Several African countries with some of the world's largest elephant populations will push this year for looser controls on legal ivory trade, while another group of countries on the continent says more restrictions are the best way to curb the illegal killing of elephants for their tusks. The dueling proposals reflect divisions within Africa over how to safeguard a species that has been killed in massive numbers by poachers over the past decade and to what extent elephant parts, including ivory, skin and hair, can be sustainably traded as commodities. They pit southern African countries including Botswana and Zimbabwe that say commerce will help them pay to conserve elephants against Kenya, Gabon and others that believe even limited trade fuels demand and drives up illegal killing. Stain all the tusks with pink paint. Make them worthless to poachers. The UN Wildlife Trade Bill will be approved. To support Africa Botswana, Namibia must be those pushing for loose control, my guess.
