This should be a low-scoring game that could be swung on a couple big defensive plays.

In a week where there are numerous backup quarterbacks set to play across the NFL, the matchup between the Vikings and Falcons in Atlanta will feature a couple of them as veteran Taylor Heinicke takes on rookie Jaren Hall.

When the Falcons have the ball, head coach Arthur Smith will lean on a ground game that features Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier, and Cordarrelle Patterson running behind a quality offensive line. They run the ball 45.6 percent of the time , compared to 33.1 percent for the Vikings . It hasn't, however, been a particularly efficient run game.

Danielle Hunter forced two fumbles in Green Bay and will look to add to his league-leading sack total in Atlanta on Sunday.Tork Mason-USA TODAY SportsThe Vikings might need another stellar defensive effort in this one because it probably won't be easy to move the ball in Hall's first career start. It's difficult to know what to expect from Hall, who looked very raw throughout training camp and in the three preseason games.

On the back end, Atlanta is led by star safety Jessie Bates III and a solid cornerback pairing of A.J. Terrell and Dee Alford. This will be a challenge for Kevin O'Connell as a play-caller and a big test of Hall's ability.
