Big study casts doubt on need for many heart proceduresA large study finds that people with stable heart disease from clogged arteries may have less chest pain if they get a stent or bypass procedure, but it won't cut their risk of having a heart attack or dying over the next few years. Man, this kind of news is always heartbreaking I think not having chest pain is a huge boost to quality of life, even if they may have a heart attack several years down the road. If you don't have as much pain than your quality of life is better with the stents or bypass. It may not keep you from getting a heart attack but it helps you enjoy the time you have left.
