BEIJING — Italian fashion house Versace apologized Sunday in China for selling T-shirts that it said attached incorrect country names to cities, after being attacked on social media for challenging China’s territorial integrity. The apology came after a Chinese actress cut her ties with the company, saying the clothing was suspected of harming China’s sovereignty.
This is what a country/culture looks like that isn’t at the mercy of materialism & money. Human integrity & principle prevail here. It’s refreshing to see. (Famous Italian designers aren’t told ‘No’ too often.)

No need to apologize, As SAR, special administrative region, apparently only HK and Macau are in this category. Also these areas are using different currencies than mainland China

I love seeing these brands squirm when there's a threat of a China boycott. Nobody else really wants their made in China overpriced clothing. Might as well buy Walmart clothes if you don't care about quality
Oh she's offended by the inaccuracy? She's obviously never paid attention to the 'Chinese to English' translations included in any of the millions of products made in her country.

Just another example of a western world brand cynically trying to cash in on eastern consumerism and making a school boy error whilst trying. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Must do better says the teacher.
