to pause their spending on the social media platform during the month of July. The groups -- the Anti-Defamation League, the NAACP, Sleeping Giants, Color of Change, Free Press and Common Sense -- asked "large Facebook advertisers to show they will not support a company that puts profit over safety."addressed an open letter to companies advertising on Facebook

, signed by the organization's CEO and National Director Jonathan Greenblatt. In the letter, the organization said it "found an advertisement for Verizon appearing next to a video from the conspiracy group QAnon drawing on hateful and antisemitic rhetoric, warning that the Federal Emergency Management Agency is planning to bring on civil war with concentration camps and coffins at the ready and claiming Americans are already quarantined in militarized districts.

"We have strict content policies in place and have zero tolerance when they are breached, we take action," Verizon's chief media officer John Nitti said in a statement. Can’t say I saw one Verizon ad on FB ever. No one cares

Knowing Verizon, they are just using the bad press on Facebook against them to get cheaper advertising rates.

Who cares⁉️NEXT!!!!!

As soon as I can I will switch my phone carrier! They are all elitist phonies!

Get woke go broke! How dis that strategy work for Nike last quarter?

Facebook can you hear me now?

18 year verizon customer and you finally made me as happy as white rich kid protesting something They know nothing about .

Good! Now others need to follow.

This is great news for America. Facebook needs to be heldcto account for the damage they have done to our Country.

Who has Verizon anyway? Sure blame not wanting to spend money on advertising on some type of woke-ness. Whatever.

TommyG Is this a trick to get Facebook to censor far right advertising?

And people will stop using Facebook & Instagram because of that? $FB

Prolly not the best way to go against conspiracy theorists, allowing them to now go from public viewing to underground/dark web social media. Great PR nonetheless Verizon 👍

Honestly good lol that’s less unwanted ads disturbing my peaceful scrolls on the TL

Makes a ton of sense. Let’s not turn to elected officials to decide the rules and regulations of censorship. Let’s allow a company to dictate. Seems logical.

Well, with the Fuckin rates they charge they should still be just fine.
