Vanessa Tyson relays sexual assault allegations against Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax in first TV interview

By Fenit Nirappil Fenit Nirappil Reporter covering D.C. government and politics Email Bio Follow April 1 at 9:05 AM Vanessa Tyson, who has accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault, demanded his resignation and called his attempts to compare himself to lynching victims “disgraceful” during an interview with CBS “This Morning” Monday.

“I’d want to resign,” said Tyson, now a professor in California. “I think the Virginia people, the voters of Virginia, have a right to know, you know, both my story and Meredith’s story.” Tyson’s lawyer said she is willing to meet with the Suffolk County District Attorney in Boston, where the alleged crime occurred but a spokesman for the office declined to say if the meeting happened or if authorities are investigating. Watson has said she is not interested in pursuing criminal charges.

“The next thing I know my head is like literally in his crouch and I’m choking and gagging and I couldn’t say anything because I’m choking and gagging,” said Tyson, tearful with her voice breaking.

Ok he took a polygraph. Well more than Kavanaugh did. Is his two accusers going to take one like Dr. Ford did?

I’d like to see her take a polygraph. What if..

Interesting that he passed a polygraph regarding whether he believed the contact was with consent. So he thinks it was. But what do we do with a mistaken belief of consent? Does a person have to know they didn't have consent by words or deeds of the other party? This is tough.

And when will this monster be stepping down?

There's nothing more disgraceful then when a man does something like this to a woman. I was looking forward to seeing this man caught hung and put in jail that's the part I would like to see. But I am so glad to see how well they treated this woman. And that's why I say it's time to put women and positions in this country to where they can start making rules to benefit and protect them. Because men just don't get it.
