New documents show that Vallejo's police chief recommended firing one of the officers who shot a man sleeping in a car with a gun in his lap.

Police body-camera video shows a detective in a pickup truck firing a rifle through the windshield, killing a man mistakenly thought to have a gun.

The newly released documents included a Police Department memo in March in which the police chief calls for Officer Ryan McMahon to be fired. McMahon is still employed by the department.Williams agreed with an investigation that found McMahon showed “neglect for basic firearm safety and Vallejo Police firearms training” by firing while running from the rear and endangered other officers, the memo said.

The Solano County district attorney’s office announced last week that a special prosecutor has been named to review the shooting, which is one of several that have led to criticism of Vallejo police. They include the, 22, during a night of demonstrations against police brutality and killings of Black people.

Monterrosa was suspected of stealing from a pharmacy and was killed by an officer who fired a rifle through the windshield of an unmarked vehicle carrying police.Get breaking news, investigations, analysis and more signature journalism from the Los Angeles Times in your inbox.

I watched the video and i was shocked. The dumb policemen ask the man to raise his hands after shooting him 55 times. Does America does an IQ test before recruitment in police? Or any half brained zombie as long as he is white,us recruited and armed?

Trump hosts swearing-in of first Black Air Force chiefPres. Trump and VP Pence took part in a ceremonial swearing-in of Gen. Charles Q. Brown as incoming U.S. Air Force chief of staff. Brown will be the first African American to lead a branch of the U.S. military when he's officially sworn in later this week. An African American I say will not be a popular move for Trump's followers. Why are the rapid Covid tests not available for first responders as well as the general population? Is the White House hoarding them? Are they being held for ransom or an upcoming quid pro quo for the states? Just asking. I’m sure John Lewis is looking down and smiling. He just wasn’t important enough for the POTUS to pay his respects.

Of course the cops all had to be fat and white, working in a predominantly minority neighborhood. Way to live down to that stereotype. Was it her birthday? The little girl was wearing a crown. Reuters looking to provoke a race riot again, typical Reuters bullshit.
