Will you contribute today to helpA rendering shows what the practice basketball court might look like in UTSA's planned volleyball and basketball training facility at Park West., UTSA is looking to invest millions of dollars in building more athletics facilities at its far Northwest San Antonio campus.
Construction will start later this year on a volleyball and basketball training facility at Park West, an area west of the main campus that is home to a soccer field and track-and-field stadium that opened in 2023. The field and stadium are used by student-athletes and for community sporting events.
Campos added that the university also plans to continue partnering with the City of San Antonio and Bexar County on development projects and “focus on real estate monetization and the sale of university land” to provide funds for future projects.with the City of San Antonio for its Institute of Texan Cultures property in Hemisfair for a “potential downtown revitalization project.”
For the mixed-use development, about 36 acres will be included in a land lease with a request for proposals expected to be released at the end of March.
