Lawmakers are requiring an overhaul of the diversity programs at Utah's public universities — a heated point of debate — so they serve all students in need. The process is moving forward.

<p>SALT LAKE CITY — The crafting of changes Utah's public universities will have to make to their diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to comply with HB261 is underway.

 Landward is already looking into the matter and he updated the board members on the process at their meeting Thursday.
