Utah's inversions can be reduced with simple steps from you

Their slogan—live to breathe—is to remind the public that everyone is in this together and can make a difference for each other.UCAIR is reminding the public to reduce or condense car travel, as vehicle emissions are a major contributors to the inversions.

“Utah is best experienced when we can see the landscapes, when we can play outside, when we can breathe clean air and it’s up to all of us to make that happen,” said Jake Miller, Executive Director of the Utah Golf Association.

More hundreds of cars idling while waiting for testing sites. Makes bad air. COVID19

Without masking, 'Unhealthy air quality will continue to build today' indoors too! Lets care for each other and our families, elderly and immuno-compromised.

It could be eliminated if we forced manufacturing outside of the valley. ESPECIALLY THE GD REFINERIES

There's a couple huge refineries - shut them down

Why is this still not a thing.

Not with thousands of cars idling waiting for tests. That alone will make air bad.

Maybe we could put a giant kn95 mask on the state just for 14 days to stop the inversion

This should be clarified - it is a common mistake in the wording. We cannot reduce or limit the inversions, those are meteorological phenomena, but we can take steps to reduce emissions and pollutant levels within those inversions. utwx UCAIR_UT UtahDEQ
