SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah doctor was barred from prescribing opioids and other controlled substances and ordered to pay $65,000 after he was accused of illegally issuing prescriptions to customers.

Specifically, the complaint accused Ponce of catering to customer requests for controlled substances, using text messaging and cash transactions to arrange exchanges between himself and customers. These"meetings" lacked legitimate examinations, medical findings supporting the appropriate use of prescriptions and genuine doctor-patient relations, officials explained in the original complaint.

Imagine you get caught selling schedule 2 narcotics & the answer from law enforcement is “cut us in on the $ u made & u can’t do that anymore lol”

I worked in pharmacy for 7 years, and it was obvious to us who the pill pushing doctors were. All of those pills numbers we dispense go directly to the state, this should be an easy problem to solve if they just look at the numbers.
