Saprea , a Lehi, Utah-based 501 nonprofit organization, is committed to empowering survivors of child sexual abuse through healing, sharing stories, and advocating for prevention education to protect future generations. Each year millions of children are sexually abused by the age of 18. The trauma of this abuse can have devastating effects when it occurs, as well as long-term impacts on mental and physical health that can linger well into adulthood.

“I knew abuse would always be part of my life, just not the main part of my life, and it doesn’t define who I am. My focus is helping survivors recognize the value of life," remarked April Daniels, co-author of Paperdolls & Cowboy Boots, a book that spotlights the journey of two women in Utah who were connected by a common perpetrator in different ways.

April Daniels, who co-authored the book with Carol Scott in 1992, has pledged 30% of the sales proceeds from the January 2024 revised book release to Saprea for the next year.
