3 keys to moving through anger when it arises and avoiding any harmful effects

Welcoming anger can help one gain wisdom and respond to situations skillfully.

As you do so, welcome the anger like an old friend; one who’s visited before and will most certainly return again. Avoid the tendency to try and push the anger away or to speed through the process. Instead, remind yourself that it is a powerful ally to your survival and your growth. This is a concept beautifully explored by Rumi in his poem,"The Guest House."3. Allow anger to depart when it’s ready.

It’s important to note that it would be unwise to skip over “the story” altogether. Skillfully addressing a situation by asserting our needs or setting boundaries with others is an important and healthy aspect of the anger experience. This is often precisely where

8/ Best wishes from a 14 yr emotional researcher who has had the problem.... Stop the anger, you will have a clearer head, and better solutions can just come to you...

7/ Anger should be overcome, not suppressed, but properly processed, and short lived!!!!! Ebook teaches technique for Pressure, Stress and Anxiety emotions: Any questions, message me.

6/ example of what happens when we USE anger for motivation even if for a positive goal. Anger is an ENERGY. It can become depleted. Also a stress emotion, dumping cortisol into the system can be harmful. Listen to WHY I did this Podcast a few minutes in:

5/ I have no Thyroid. And PTSD, and had had a stroke in the 90s. My first symptom was explosive anger. My post on anger: I stop my anger and then have a clearer head with usually better solutions. Anger can be a barrier, it has more problems than benefits

4/ which is doing the technique. In a relatively short time, usually several minutes, that shock and the anger lessen, reduce, fade and stops. MINUTES!! NO OTHER WORK NEEDED... Totally true and consistent now since 2015. I had a HARD time stopping anger before using 'shock'....

3/ Anger as an emotion is an emotional charge. The thing to realize is, 'This is NOT shock and anger. THIS is Shock and Anger Charge' we target the ENERGY itself of that Energy in Motion depleting it; discharge it. That is exactly what I use with step 3....

2/ so the shock needs processing as well. They can be named at the same time. 'This is shock AND anger' easy, right? THIS is exactly what I do with the technique I discovered in 2009, and use to stop my ptsd anger episodes. But need 2 more steps.....

Actually there is an easier way... But step 1 is the same...name it. But this doesn't always work and anger is a very jagged emotion. It needs processing. And there is another component you may miss... Shock. At the beginning of the episode there was a shock, THEN anger.....

Too little, too late, eh, Jennifer Petty of Seattle?

People never say no if asked to spend sometime on a work out on bad emotions and temperament. It is the speed of the happening that chucks them out.
