BREAKING: Sixth-seeded USC lost to top-seeded Gonzaga 85-66 in the Elite Eight of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, ending the Trojans’ hopes of reaching the Final Four

With Isaiah Mobley and Drew Peterson managing to score a couple baskets, the Trojans pulled to within 17 points before Gonzaga quickly extended its lead back to 20. The Trojans are shooting 38 percent from the field and 29 percent from three-point territory . Gonzaga has done a better job from the field and from beyond the arc .Isaiah Mobley finally scored his field goal of the second half on a jumper with 8:07 left in regulation.

Can’t put this performance on the Mobley Brothers, who have given everything they have. 29 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists between them.Even though Gonzaga isn’t playing the same level of defense it did in the first half, its still doing enough to keep USC from getting back into the game. Drew Timme continues to be nearly unstoppable for the Bulldogs — he has 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting. The Mobley brothers have combined for 24 points and Drew Peterson has 11 points.
