US stock futures fell Sunday evening, indicating that the market may not continue its rally from last week.

New York

Dow futures were down 239 points, or nearly 1%. S&P 500 futures dropped almost 0.9% and Nasdaq Composite futures fell 0.7%. Last week, Wall Street logged its second-straight week of gains. Investors appeared optimistic about a potential coronavirus treatment and discussions about reopening parts of the US economy. The surge came despite a dire GDP report from China and news that 22 million Americans have filed initial unemployment claims in the past four weeks.

Coronavirus crippling film industry, US box office headed for worst year since 1998Social distancing restrictions across the U.S. has forced theaters to shutter and studios to shuffle their slate of films for 2020 and beyond. Who cares? The only thing worth seeing at the movies is popcorn. Sad. Overpaid actors will be looking at extended time without work. Saw a guy shooting Heroin right down those Subway stairs three weeks ago. Right in the open set up fifty feet from turnstiles. Hadn’t seen that in NYC in decades. Normally crawling with NYU students and local workers, West Village feelin like hit a time warp.
