US offers to pay and relocate relatives of 10 victims, including seven children, who were killed in a drone attack in Afghanistan's capital Kabul in late August

Ahmadi and others who were killed in the strike were innocent victims who bore no blame and were not affiliated with Daesh-K or threats to US forces, Kirby said. The Pentagon had said earlier that the Aug 29 strike targeted a Daesh suicide bomber who posed an imminent threat to US-led troops at the airport as they completed the last stages of their withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The strike came three days after an Daesh suicide bomber killed 13 US troops and scores of Afghan civilians who had crowded outside the airport gates, desperate to secure seats on evacuation flights, after US-trained Afghan forces melted away and the Taliban swept to power in the capital in mid-August.

The killing of civilians also raised questions about the future of US counter-terrorism strikes in Afghanistan.

US vows to pay relatives of Afghans killed in drone strikeThe U.S. Defense Department said it is committed to offering condolence payments to relatives of the 10 people killed in an errant U.S. drone strike in Kabul, Afghanistan, in August. The U.S. military has called the strike a 'tragic mistake.' It wasn't a mistake, it was a terrorist strike. No better than what ISIS did. The US needs to stop pretending they are the 'good guys'. If this has been done by ISIS there is no way in hell the US would have accepted it as a mistake. Who says you can’t put a price on human lives. It was a war zone. Mistakes happen in war zones. We should not start a precedent of making condolence payments.

Europe on collision course with US over Venezuela electionsThe European Union is running the risk of winding up the US -- its most important ally -- after the bloc agreed to send a team to observe Venezuela's regional elections. The EU was asked for and their memberstates agreed. And who says that the EU-team will - which the US seems to be afraid of - go to Venezuela und just close their eyes there? The EU had declared the elections as not 'free' or 'fair' after all. If the US is interfering /2 First at all you guys need to clear all theses nonsense tweets, here in Venezuela this upcoming elections will be a cover to put at finger mayors and governors, there is no voting in regime, maduro and all his party must be in jail, also opposition members if relations can survive after toxic trump and pompeo, it can survive anything.......

U.S. pastors, advocacy groups mobilize against COVID-19 vaccine mandatesFrom the outside, First Harvest Ministries in Waveland, Mississippi, could almost be mistaken for a storage shed were it not for the steeple. Wonder how many of these con artists have gotten their parishioners to have all their assets willed to the church after death and they want the cash sooner than later. Faith and logic are not mutually exclusive; except for some it seems 😶 where in the bible does it say not to take vaccines
