Parker notes that all the pumpkins were taken from her block, in what she rightly calls the Halloween Heist of 2019. Husband Matthew Broderick apparently joined in the condemnation—in Parker’s video she says he proclaimed that “decency is dead.” Indeed! It’s heartbreaking to imagine the Parker family—Sarah Jessica, Matthew Broderick, and their three children, James, Marion, and Tabitha—cheerfully setting off from the Berkshires with a clutch of carefully selected pumpkins in tow, only to have a heartless gourd thief snatch them from their West Village perch.
