usatodayopinion SteveXen if you eat healthy you can have a mental illness this is medical tyranny for gun grabbing. Taking guns won't make you panzies any safer you idiot. Look at Europe they're being raped. WAKE UP!

usatodayopinion SteveXen Most states use to have state psych hospital but repubs closed them so their friends could open poorly managed private ones, that vets and poor working Americans cannot afford.

usatodayopinion SteveXen No easier to treat, harder to treat bc they're too easily handing out drugs that cause shooters to kill in 1st place (pharma covered it up).

usatodayopinion SteveXen Well what's your part in this USA TODAY ? The democrat news letter of liberals which never tells the whole story just your spend on it.

usatodayopinion SteveXen People capable of ignoring California's already tough gun laws. The 'reasonable steps' get more and more unreasonable and less and less effective - because they don't address the real problem, self-indulgent human evil.

usatodayopinion SteveXen 🙄

usatodayopinion SteveXen gun control is a fantasy. that is not a problem. there are enough laws already. its LUNATIC control that is needed. bring back the laws where threats to society are taken seriously and the dangerously insane are put away.

usatodayopinion SteveXen Steve - since when is a dirty white van with Trump stickers all over it a warning sign or symptom of mental illness? Otherwise a thoughtful op ed.

usatodayopinion SteveXen How about trying one thing at a time. Start with easy, affordable mental health help? Stop discriminating and being judgmental of those with mental health challenges.

usatodayopinion SteveXen Gun control in America is like that of a third world country. The right to life is greater and more precious than the Second Amendment. Get it sorted.

usatodayopinion SteveXen Idiots. We have a violence epidemic.

usatodayopinion SteveXen That means the State should have enough funds to treat all the mental health people that we have in dialysis , people kill them self , lupus - Selena Gomez -mentally ill, drugs ( lemi lovato) try to kill herself, veterans the one who kill 12 people in Thousand Oaks , etc , etc

usatodayopinion SteveXen Nov. 3rd. 2020.

usatodayopinion SteveXen Anyone who wants a gun can get one, laws be dam’nd. Ppl just don’t, or won’t, get it!

usatodayopinion SteveXen Guns are both the disease, and the cure. As long as there is disease there will be guns, and cures.

usatodayopinion SteveXen Yeah, because it's not like the most gun related crimes happen in Gun Free Zones. Oh, right, and the most police shootings happen in states with strict gun laws.

UPDATE: Boston Scientific buys remaining shares in privately held Millipede to expand its heart portfolioBoston Scientific Corp. said Thursday it has exercised an option to acquire the remaining shares of privately held Millipede Inc. in a move aimed at expanding its heart portfolio. The deal will give the company the IRIS Transcatheter Annuloplasty Ring System which is in development for the treatment of patients with severe mitral regurgitation (MR) who are not able to tolerate open-heart surgery. Mitral regurgitation is a condition in which a leaky valve does not close the way it should, allowing some blood to flow backward into the left atrium, according to the Mayo Clinic. Left untreated, the disorder can cause heart failure or arrhythmia, according to the clinic. The market for mitral repair and replacement is expected to reach $1 billion by 2021. Boston Scientific originally invested in Millipede by purchasing $90 million of existing and new shares with the option to acquire the rest for $325 million at closing with a $125 million milestone payment due upon reaching certain commercial goals. "Upon commercialization, we believe the IRIS system can meet the needs of a currently underserved patient population that requires physiological, less invasive options to treat functional mitral regurgitation in patients with progressive heart failure," said Professor Ian Meredith, AM, executive vice president and global chief medical officer, Boston Scientific. Millipede has recently completed a first-in-human clinical study. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter and to be dilutive to adjusted per-share earnings for each of the next several years, with the impact expected to be absorbed by internal trade-offs. Boston Scientific shares fell 1.7% premarket but have gained 35.9% in 2018, while the S&P 500 has fallen 7.7%.
