Starting in 2022, all of Universal and Focus theatrical films will go to Peacock as the “pay-one” partner for the first four months of the conventional 18-month pay-one window.

Peacock is an interesting entry in the streaming wars, both because of its late entry and its comparatively modest designs. Oh sure, Comcast wants to offer lots of films and television shows and earn copious revenue via subscriptions and ad sales . But they aren’t positioning Peacock as “Universal’s answer to Disney+” and, thus far, aren’t jeopardizing their existing revenue streams in a race for fourth place .
