The provider of video-game development software intends to cut an additional 49 people from its headquarters in The City, it told state and local officials in a Feb. 6 letter made public Tuesday. The move will bring to 169 the number of employees Unity plans to let go in its layoffs; it notified officials in January of plans to cut 120 people.
Those affected by its latest layoffs — including those Unity announced in both January and February — are all based at its headquarters 30 3rd St. Among those it’s letting go are its chief security officer for technology; its vice presidents of product design, corporate strategy and development, and Asia-Pacific marketing; and five directors of various departments.
