United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz thinks airlines are reaching a breaking point with shrinking seat sizes.
Munoz acknowledged having to stay competitive with peers and match many of their moves, but he admitted passengers may have had enough."It's complicated technology," he said."We will fix that, and, frankly, we would stop a lot of our growth if we could just stop and find the right provider and get that done. That's how important Wi-Fi is to us and to our customers."
"It's become so stressful," he said,"from when you leave, wherever you live, to get into traffic, to find a parking spot, to get through security."

Oscar jumped the shark when he OK'ed stuffing the 10th seat in the long-haul 777s. What an abomination!
Seat size 'breaking point' was passed long ago. Baggage fees need to stop. Premium seat charges need to go as well. And if no one can engineer a seat that reclines without inconveniencing other passengers then they need to NOT recline at all.

United needs to work on customer service skills before they worry about seats!! They have some very rude staff!!

He THINKS?! Humans need MORE COMFORT, NOT LESS. Aircraft architecture has to change fundamentally to do this. The only people in the way are the airlines and the aircraft manufacturers. Air travel is going to be devastated by consumer rejection. Trains are coming back.
