Coppola's new film has finally screened.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis has now been screened, and a new report details what the reaction to the film was like. Representing a long-time passion project for Coppola, who is best known for The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, Megalopolis stars Adam Driver as Ceasar, idealistic architect who attempts to rebuild New York City as a utopia following a catalclymis disaster.

What Megalopolis' Screening Reactions Mean For The Movie's Future Francis Ford Coppola's Movie Just Became An Even Bigger Box Office Risk Megalopolis hasn't yet found a distributor, and the reactions suggest it may have trouble here. Bigger distributors like Warner Bros and Universal may not be interested if the film is truly as bizarre as Belloni's report makes out. A film that's too weird, after all, is hard to market, and it's more likely to flop in theaters.

Megalopolis could, however, find luck with a smaller distributor that specializes in projects with more niche appeal. Belloni cites Neon, for example, as a company that could be willing to bite. Neon purchased the U.S. distribution rights to Ferrari, another movie starring Driver, when other companies passed on the project.
