U.S. Postal Service inspectors are being asked to look into undelivered mail discovered Friday in a recycling bin in Bexley , Ohio .
Kauffman does not believe the person who dumped the mail into her recycling bin was her regular neighborhood mail carrier.Last year, Beechwold neighbors received an apology from the U.S. Postal Service when years-old mail was delivered to them after a Columbus postal carrier admitted to federal agents he intentionally did not deliver more than 8,200 pieces of mail.
The Postal Service employs more than 653,167 employees and is the largest civilian federal workforce in the country. This type of behavior within the Postal Service is not tolerated and is a rare occurrence. It is important for the public we serve to know the overwhelming majority of Postal Service employees are honest, hardworking, and trustworthy individuals who would never consider engaging in any type of unbecoming behavior.
