A letter by Russia’s deputy health minister told hospitals to identify medical staff, including anaesthetists and specialists in trauma and heart conditions, to relocate and work on an assignment in another part of the country. Russian forces seemed to be bogged down with the war a little over 48 hours old, as more Ukrainians took up arms and the West sent millions of pounds-worth of new lethal weapons.
