The British prime minister added that China’s decision to impose a national security law on Hong Kong will “curtail its freedoms and dramatically erode its autonomy”.“If China imposes its national security law, the British government will change our immigration rules,” Johnson said. About 350,000 of the territory’s people currently hold such passports and another 2.5 million would be eligible to apply for them, Johnson said.
Such a good news for HKers! BTW, the vast majority of those active protesters in HK are born after 1997. In other words, they have no BNO passports. This offer can't help these young protesters. Please help them to settle in the UK. Please!
We can see the courage and determination of the British government to assume historical responsibility. In comparison, how shameful the Chinese government is.😤
We need more to stop China colonization Chinazi StamfordHK OneCountryTwoSystemsIsDead FightForFreedom
MarTirreno321 It's really the first step in the right direction, ty so much Boris Johnson, but what we really need is the sanctions of evildoers in HK, for example, Carrie Lam should have all her assets seized and sanctioned from Britain.
Treat all HK people as British citizens. They can sing God Save the Queen much better than many migrants in UK.
However many we take in we should send our worst communists and socialists to Hong Kong so they can live their dream.
People of Hong Kong, UK will only admit those Hong Kong people with lots of money and/or talent leaving the poor back in Hong Kong. The UK doesn’t care about you. They only care about their struggling economy post- Brexit. Go read up on Windrush. Do they care? Wake up.
well done, UK,. biggest problem solved.
Thank you so much for standing with Hong Kong. But apart from changing the immigration rules, UK should also sanction CCP China and HK govt officials via MagnitskyAct for violating '1 country 2 systems' and the Sino-British Joint Declaration. StandWithHongKong FreeHK Chinazi
We Hongkongers extremely welcome GOVUK to honor her legal obligation to implement MagnitskyAct to sanction both CCP & HK officials who don't respect the principles of '1country2systems', 'High degree of autonomy', 'Rule of Law' promised in Joint Declaration StandwithHongKong
Brexit = controlling our borders Brexit = stopping immigration Boris = invites 3 million Chinese to live here. 🤡
Should change the immigration rules to bar entry to any member of the CCPv from the PRC
Thanks for helping that ,those HK RIOTS must be so happy to do that,HK will be peaceful again
Besides BNO for the old HKers, how about a new immigration policy for the younger HKers? Most of the protesters are born after 1997 , which is not qualified for BNO. Begging a humanitarian support for them. Liberate HongKong Revolution of our time
Please take all the non British thugs on the streets of Hong Kong to the UK. After all, these thugs are regarded as democracy fighters by the UK. Don't just think about receiving talent from Hong Kong.
pray that they could save your economy instead of bringing more riots
Very well then, take all those rubish into the UK, it must be good news for China and HKers!
That is very good approach, please check if there can be work position offer to those riots. They are good at jam the subway, set up road block, beating people who disagree them. Sure you can find them some decent job in UK!
Please do it quickly.
Damn boi, I am sure Hong kongers would love to go to UK and get racially profiled. Especially during coronavirus time and Brexit!!
Well that will impress the Brexiters.
who wants to go to UK with brixit & covid19 going on?😂
Valar morghulis ! WW3
