British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came under fire on Monday for his response ...

LONDON - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came under fire on Monday for his response to being shown a photo of a sick child lying on a hospital floor ahead of the Dec. 12 election.

Johnson’s Conservatives are leading Labour in opinion polls, with Brexit and the future of the country’s public health service the two most prominent campaign issues. Johnson initially avoided looking at the phone, and instead began describing his investment plans for the National Health Service while also saying he had not had a chance to see the photo. When challenged again, Johnson took the phone out, looked at it and said: “It is a terrible, terrible photo, and I apologize obviously to the family and all those who have terrible experiences in the NHS but what we are doing is supporting the NHS.

BBC Political Editor Laura Kuenssberg said on Twitter health minister Matt Hancock was sent to the hospital in Leeds where the boy was pictured. He was greeted by a group of protesting Labour activists, she reported, one of whom punched his adviser. In regions of northern and central England which traditionally back Labour, Johnson hopes to break the party’s hold on voters by appealing to those who backed Brexit.

Why is Labour JC allowed to use a sick child in the hospital floor for his campaign against Johnson? I don’t hear the media picking on that! Very Bias!

It was a set up.

Punches below the belt aren't allowed in the sport of boxing. Equally, whatever isn't within the rules of the game of cricket it's considered to be way out of order. I'm sure the PM had not been fully filled about the event in which a sick child was the subject of nonperformance!

Humanity shown for a PM check NHS if support is true then he is doing the job and all he can for country basis Wisest action to call NHS and tell them take care of such cases. Not to blame or guilt anyone he said campaign

Fgs it's a bloody setup

Hope you report the truth when this story proves false

It's a wonderful thing that Boris is showing the world who he really, truly and deeply is. Whoever votes him in is surely as evil as he is.

i expect more from this photo is faked as is the whole story. i worked in the NHS and this treatment would never occur with a child with suspected pneumonia

FakeNews

The hospital confirm they were in a treatment room without a bed. The mother confirms that she put the boy on the floor. Then - as any mum would do - she took photo and sent to media. Today, Hancock was there and Momentum organised a flash mob. It is all a set up.

Even if the pic is true, Labour have proved they can't run a good NHS. They've run the NHS in Wales for years. Terrible!

Shows his true colours.

More fake news confirmed by a fellow local person....

He’s a twunt ... of the highest order and the UK hate him 😊

Given what nurses have said one has to wonder whether its real at all -- the convenience and timing is'nt a coincidence is it ?
