Fascist

That should be protocol throughout US and EU .

Apparently most people just cannot comprehend that when a product is free, they are the product.

You had a good run UK. A shame you’ve lost.

Of course they do. Just imagine the UK government sitting around a table, discussing how they could lessen their own power. Be vocal UK, before you're unable to.

If I were facebook I would Zucc all of the UK permanently

With Zuckerberg being as greedy as he is he sure as hell doesn't care if Facebook is used for criminal or terrorist activity.

Wowwwww 1984

'Don't call me sir! It's ma'am!' 'It puts the lotion in the basket [or I'll have you arrested].' YourFuture

Okay, so this is terrifying.

Maybe the British people can rise up and fight back to defend their rights by forming militias, if they only had .....

Fascism on the march

What we need is an internet Bill of Rights to protect us FROM the social media platforms and our right to criticize and speak our minds about anything, and not let Silicon Valley keep discriminating ppl for their political beliefs which has been happening for a long time now.

You are not allowed to have a free speech. You are not allowed to have free thought. Any dissident voices will be banned.

Is this real?

Censorship, lovely. Three steps to total control by the government. 1) disarm the population 2) censor press and media 3) government take over of the major industries. Sounds like the UK needs to start taking back their land.

You can try but I think Facebook has become too big to control. They know everything about you. Once on the internet it can’t be deleted. That “delete” button is an illusion. It’s stored somewhere.

Can’t have the people organize and protest like in France. Can’t have real news the main stream media suppresses getting out. Rise up UK citizens!

They're already detaining citizens for tweets, at what point does this end?

europe is getting pretty fucking scary again, this usually doesnt end well

They have also outlawed FOX News like propaganda (as has Canada)

Step one: define everything you dislike as a crime, step two: force social media companies to help you weed out dissent

Harmful to whom? BBCWorld

Agree.

All for it, just make it fair

Here:

It's a very weak government that must resort to censorship. It's sad that being offended is now grounds to file criminal complaints.

brexit was result .. thx Russians

So, kind of like China...

👀

well noted the associated press

Https:// is blocked in Korea.

They can fuck themselves. It’s control over speech only. 1984 warned us of the left. We keep ignoring it tho.

ei jonnoi uk

And let's pay the royals even more.

Alt headline: UK tries to stifle more speech

that's what the world needs, more government oversight into our daily lives...

Smells like censorship to me... 'Harmful' eh? I call bullshit.

🙄🙄🙄SMH

On other words, censorship. Goebbels would have been proud of this overt fascist mentality. If you can't win the argument, shut it down... What's next? Burning books?

And that is why our ancestors left and there is a New England today...

Nothing could go wrong here...

Because they've done such a good job with everything else.

Just filter the Russian bots would be a good start.

Yes, more gov’t “oversight” is always the answer....

The Latest: UK lawmakers repeat dislike of EU divorce dealLONDON (AP) — The Latest on Britain's exit from the European Union (all times local): 5:45 p.m. British Prime Minister Theresa May has suffered an embarrassing parliamentary defeat on Brexit as lawmakers remain resistant to her EU divorce plan. The House of Commons voted 303 to 258 on Thursday against a motion reiterating support for May's approach to Brexit — support expressed by lawmakers in votes just two weeks ago. The defeat is symbolic rather than binding stresses how weak her hand is as she tries to secure changes to her divorce deal from the EU in order to win backing for it in Parliament. The government was defeated when the members of a pro-Brexit faction in the governing Conservatives, the European Research Group, abstained because they feel the government is effectively ruling out the threat of leaving the EU without a deal. May is struggling with little sign of success to win backing for her deal from both pro-Brexit and pro-EU lawmakers in Parliament, which rejected the agreement by a whopping 230 votes last month. The U.K. is due to leave the EU on March 29. Better scrape off that jam mold, Terry Where do they stand on the motion to support eating moldy jam? Hard Brexit is going to the most hilarious thing to watch.
