The University of Houston volleyball team punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 with a five-set win over Auburn on Saturday night in Omaha, Neb.
The fifth-seeded Cougars won the fourth set 25-23 and took the decisive fifth set 15-8 to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1994.Auburn ends the season at 22-9. For the second straight match, Kennedy Warren led the Cougars with 17 kills. Rachel Tullos had 11 kills on a .625 hitting percentage. Kate Georgiades had 27 digs.
