A team from UCSD proved physical exercise decreases an individual's likelihood of developing dementia. In their study, each additional 31 minutes a day of activity lead to a 21% lower risk of developing cognitive impairment for senior women. More info:

SAN DIEGO – Moderate to vigorous exercise and daily walks can reduce the risk of developing dementia among senior women, according to a study by UC San Diego researchers published today.

Dementia is a “debilitating neurological condition that can cause loss of memory, the ability to think, problem solve or reason.” Mild cognitive impairment is an early stage of memory loss or thinking problems that is not as severe as dementia. “Physical activity has been identified as one of the three most promising ways to reduce risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Prevention is important because once dementia is diagnosed, it is very difficult to slow or reverse. There is no cure,” LaCroix said.

Well most trainers know that and other things but everyone waits til some college is like oh yeah it’s good for you. While trainers are like wow nobody listens.

You spelled dementia wrong

Am I missing the link to the actual study so it can be reviewed by peers and experts? This seems ridiculous on the surface.

Wow. I wonder how so many active people become demented then? Weird.

Great. Now they should study flu vaccines or all vaccines for causing it !
