UAE instructing warlord Khalifa Haftar's illegal militias to reimpose a blockade on oil exports, Libya's National Oil Corp says

Libya's National Oil Corp has accused the United Arab Emirates of instructing eastern illegal militias in Libya's civil war to reimpose a blockade of oil exports after the departure of the first tanker in six months.

"NOC has been informed that the instructions to shut down production were given to by the United Arab Emirates," it said in a statement on Sunday, resuming force majeure on all oil exports. After the GNA gained ground, NOC also tried to restart production at the Sharara oilfield, but said this effort was quickly shut down and accused Russian mercenaries fighting alongside Haftar of deploying there.

U.S. oil & gas rig count falls to record low for 10th week: Baker HughesU.S. energy firms cut the number of oil and natural gas rigs operating to a record low for a 10th week in a row but the rate of decline has slowed as higher oil prices prompt some producers to start drilling again. It's funny how you got to have one or the other. You either have affordable prices at the gas pump or you have tens of thousands of oil field employees working 💀 natural gas died anyway and transferred to OTC. Fracking means we can have more oil with less oil rigs. Very environmentally friendly, very affordable.
