"This is true even though their performance has been superior to that of the male players — with the female players, in contrast to male players, becoming world champions." The lawsuit represents the continuation of a years-long fight for equal pay from women's soccer players. Four players filed a discrimination complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 2016 and were issued rights to sue early last month, according to the lawsuit.

Agreed they should get closer to the guys pay at National Team level. Not sure about pro level. Isn’t that about TV revenue and bums on seats?
Agreed they should get more than men’s team. They are getting a bigger audience. What happens when the roles are reversed? USA woman’s soccer is an anomaly in the USA spots scene The argument should be confined to who is the bigger draw, not men vs women.
The players should get the same percentage of revenue. The women should be able to make more than the men if they are a bigger draw. Likewise the men should make more if they are bringing in more. This shouldn't be about gender. Or even equality. It needs to be fair & sustainable

Absolutely pathetic. The women's soccer team is far less competitive to get into compared to the men's, play a worse standard of football compared to the men's, and is supported by less people than the men's. It's basic economics. They shouldn't be getting the same pay. PATHETIC.

USWNT players sue US Soccer for gender discriminationMembers of the US women's national soccer team have filed a federal class action lawsuit against the US Soccer Federation citing gender discrimination, according to court documents. It is an absolute sin how little the women’s team gets paid. They are hands down better than the men’s team. Who draws the larger audience? Which cup makes more money?
