The United States stepped up pressure on China this week by imposing a new set of tariffs on Chinese products but media reports suggest that the U.S. administration is inclined to put off a decision on imposing car tariffs, which could impact its relationship with Germany, Europe’s biggest car producer.
The US needs to aggressively acquire major German and Japanese companies, automakers included. A small price for the thousands of US companies acquired, trillions in market and defense subsidies, and access to the disproportionate US market.
The US demand is in the increase of US energy imports and defense spending.
